What is recorded here

Castle Terrace rose in the nineteenth century as a working tenement, giving crowded Edinburgh families a stone roof above the street. Twenty-nine remains a narrow column of rooms where neighbours still pass in corridors and children learn the stair before they learn the city. The building does not need a hero or a date to be remembered because it is the shape of ordinary survival.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, 29 Castle Terrace as Tenement (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
