Twenty-five Castle Terrace is a 19th-century tenement in Edinburgh, built when the city climbed its rocky slopes and crammed life into narrow stone. Rooms stacked above rooms, kitchens smelt of coffee and coal smoke, and neighbours argued through floors thin enough to hear heartbeat and breath. The castle loomed nearby, watching ordinary people love, fight, raise children and forget themselves in the rhythm of streets. Much of that has faded, but the building still holds the shape of busy human days.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, 25 Castle Terrace as Tenement (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
