What is recorded here

Castle Terrace still holds two linked houses built in 1859, their stone frames tightened around ordinary lives that no longer answer knocks. They stand in Edinburgh as recorded terraced homes, not as display rooms or public wonders. The address resists invention because much is missing, but the gap does not erase the fact that people lived, paid, loved and left marks behind.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, 10, 11 Castle Terrace as Terraced House (19th Century) (1859). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
