Castle Terrace rose in the nineteenth century, its terraced houses pressing shoulder to shoulder beneath Edinburgh’s watchful sky. Number seven still stands among them, a stone ribbon pulled from that same age. Whether it guarded a merchant, a writer or a forgotten family, the walls likely absorbed laughter, argument and quiet prayer. The terrace belongs to the city now, but human life still moves through its rooms in memory.
