Mountcastle Crescent holds a stone axehead, its edge worn by hands that shaped wood before written history. The crescent name suggests a curved road or boundary, yet the axehead remains the clearest survivor of human effort in that area. Perhaps someone dropped it during a hunt, a gift exchange, or a argument forgotten by time. The stone still carries the pressure of that lost moment.
