Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, Cramond, Kirk Cramond, Cramond Tower as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Cramond Tower, located near Edinburgh, was built in the late 15th or early 16th century by the Cramond family, a prominent local landholding family. It is remembered as a well-preserved example of a Scottish tower house and for its historical association with the area's medieval and early modern history.
