What is recorded here

Castle Terrace Car Park is a twentieth-century concrete basin beside the old city, built for wheels rather than memory. It sits under the shadow of Edinburgh’s highest rocks, waiting for vehicles to arrive and leave again. The stones do not judge the temporary life moving above them. They hold the city’s shape steady while people come and go.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, Castle Terrace, Castle Terrace Car Park as Car Park (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
