What is recorded here

No visible earthwork in wet pasture, Rathmore South, 200 m east of a watercourse. Sixty metres south stands a ringfort. The circle appeared only in a 1984 gas-pipeline aerial photograph, flickered faintly in satellite imagery, then vanished from view. What was built there, who lived there and when it was lost remains unknown.
In wet pasture 200m E of a watercourse. Ringfort (LI031-015---) lies 60m to S. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified from examination of aerial photograph (BGE 1:5000 No. 43) of the region taken on 03/11/1984 associated with Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Faint traces visible as a circular cropmark on Google Earth orthoimage dated 16/03/2016. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/02/2020.
