Earthwork in Addergoole South

In grassland on W bank of the River Suck. A subcircular grass-covered mound of earth and stone (E-W 14m, N-S 12m, H < 1m) highest towards SW. Quantities of unworked limestone are evident on the top. Possibly a spoil heap from drainage but it appears too regular in appearance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
