What is recorded here

Craigarogan held an early medieval routeway beside the Grange of Mallusk, linking human life across County Antrim before modern roads forgot the shape of the land. The path may have carried worshippers, traders or fleeing families, while horses kicked up dust and people measured distance by breath rather than numbers. Its exact purpose has faded, but the surviving alignment suggests a place where movement, memory and faith still entangle.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Early medieval/ecclesiastical (?) routeway. Recorded period: E.C./MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
