The Earl of Moira was a British steamship that sank in 1862 off the coast of Anglesey, Wales, after colliding with the French steamer Ville de Paris in dense fog. The wreck resulted in the loss of 464 lives, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in Welsh history and prompting later improvements in maritime safety and fog signaling.
