Durie, St Brendan's Well

St Brendan's Well is associated with St Brendan, a 6th-century Irish monk and saint traditionally linked to the founding of monastic settlements in Scotland. Holy wells dedicated to St Brendan were often visited for their supposed healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general health.
