Broughty Ferry still holds the stables beneath Castleroy, where horses once breathed warmth into East Lodge. The stones remember hooves, harness and human hands even though no date remains attached to the building. They are not a display or a promise of entry, but a lived address in Dundee where domestic life and animal labour shared one roof.
