Castle Road still carries the muscle memory of Denny ships, where steel ribs bent into hulls for seas across the world. The yard turned fire, oil and human judgement into vessels that carried empires, wars and ordinary life. Dumbarton gave up breath and skill to build tools for distance, while Castle Road kept the shape of that labour.
