Dryhope Tower

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dryhope Tower as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dryhope Tower, a 16th-century tower house in the Scottish Borders, was built by the Maxwell family, a powerful Border clan known for their role in the turbulent history of the region. The tower is important as a well-preserved example of a defensive Border tower house and reflects the strategic and social structures of late medieval Scotland.
