Drum Castle Policies, Back of Steading holds a clearance cairn in Aberdeenshire, built during an unknown period. The stones mark a boundary or memorial now faded from memory, yet they still stand behind the castle policies. People may have gathered there to honour the dead, claim land, or simply watch the horizon. The cairn remains a quiet witness to lives no longer named.
