On the night of December 6, 1982, a time bomb struck Ballykelly, killing seventeen people and wounding sixty-six others. The Irish National Liberation Army claimed the attack, joining a long list of violent events that scarred the region during the Troubles. What remains is a sudden loss of life in a small place, remembered through the names of the dead and the shape of the wound they left behind.
