Drimnin Castle and St Columba's Church stand together in the Highland, linking medieval stone to a mid-19th Century building that remained active until 1944. The castle may have watched the valley while the church gave the valley a voice, but neither is automatically open to everyone. What is certain is that the place survived long enough to be measured, named and remembered.

Drimnin Castle was likely built in the 13th century by the MacDougall clan, who held significant power in the region during the medieval period. The castle is remembered for its historical association with the Lords of Lorn and its strategic importance in the western Scottish Highlands.
