Doonnamon-minnaun Fort is a ruined fairy ring on a Galway slope, its earth bank strangled by stone wall and forgotten by every human memory. It is large enough to swallow a village, yet dense growth hides the perimeter from ordinary sight. The forgoers did not leave this place empty; they redirected it. The fort still holds its shape because refusal to release it is the same as continuing the experiment.

On a NE-facing slope in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 58m, E-W 56m) defined by a denuded bank overlain throughout by a field wall.
