What is recorded here

Two upright stones hold a flat table above the grass, waiting for bodies that died before written memory. The earth that once hid them has fallen away, exposing the bare bone of a chamber built to keep the dead company rather than forget them. People may have gathered beneath that heavy roof, pressing marks into wet clay or speaking names the wind has since erased. The tomb no longer needs a owner; it owns the field, marking time with stone instead of ink.
