This commemorative plaque records: This plaque is to mark the re-founding of the ancient Dixie Grammar School by the Leicestershire Independent Educational Trust. Its leading members were Dr Arnold Burrows, Headmaster, Miss Myra Pedley, Leicestershire Educationalist, Mr Michael Parker, Chairman, Mr Frank Robinson, Deputy Chairman. After a church service of dedication the school was declared open by Sir Rex Hunt on 17th October 1987.
