Denholm Seafoods Ltd, Castle Street

No Class (event) (period Unassigned)

What is recorded here

Castle Street in Peterhead holds a cold store built above the vanished shadow of Keith Inch castle. Men dug through office rubble in 2011, past the place where Keith Earls Marischal may have raised stone after 1589. The castle gave up no bone, ring or arrowhead. It left only a hollow rectangle in the earth, waiting for someone to imagine the shape of what stood there.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Denholm Seafoods Ltd, Castle Street as No Class (event) (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
