What is recorded here
Decorative wrought-iron gates and square rubble piers, c.1870. Pedestrian gates to either side, carriage lamps to piers. Gates incorporate spiral twists and scrolled ornament.
These unusually elaborate modern gates update the traditional Irish country house entrance. They contrast in time and style with the outer set of original gates which led to the now-demolished older house.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
