Delgatie Castle, Gates at Garden Cottages stands in Aberdeenshire as a gate and gate pier, still marked though its exact age has never been assigned. The stones may have guarded a kitchen garden, a private lane, or a forgotten entrance to the castle itself. Whatever they controlled, they survived the loss of every other boundary, waiting for someone to remember the shape of the place they once completed.
