Delaney Brothers Monument

Two young brothers, Cornelius and Jeremiah Delaney, lost their lives during the War of Independence on their family farm at Dublin Hill. A carved limestone Celtic Revival high cross rose near the site around 1945, using interlacing strapwork and lettering to hold their names above the ordinary field. The monument still stands as a regional landmark, turning a private tragedy into a public marker of local memory.
