What is recorded here

Deecastle is a working farmstead in Aberdeenshire where a triangular pond still feeds a lade toward the southern building. Its U-shaped steading, sheepfold and scattered stone rooms have survived since the early 17th century, though earth and forgetting have taken some rooms entirely. To walk past it is to see how little a farm needs: water, a fold, a roof, and people willing to return.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Deecastle as Building (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
