Darnaway Castle, Stables and Carriage House still stands in Moray, its eighteenth and nineteenth century buildings waiting behind private land. The main castle has vanished, but the stables and carriage house remain, preserving the shape of a grand estate that no longer exists. They are not a display or a museum. They are a remainder, holding the last visible form of a house that time has already erased.
