This blue commemorative plaque records: Daniel Wade Acraman 1775 - 1847. Iron founder and merchant, erected this building, Acraman's Warehouse, No. 1 Quay in 1831. Samuel Taylor Coleridge called him "the father of the Fine Arts in this city." Recorded plaque organisation: Bristol Civic Society.
