What is recorded here
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Dan Beard (Aft Section) as Wreck. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Dan Beard* was a Liberty ship built during World War II; its aft section was lost in 1943 after the vessel was damaged by a German U-boat torpedo in the North Atlantic, resulting in the loss of 11 crew members. The wreck is historically significant as a reminder of the Battle of the Atlantic and the vulnerability of Allied shipping during the war.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
