Dalnigap, Peat Hill

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dalnigap, Peat Hill as Cairnfield (later Prehistoric). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

A cairnfield dating to the later Prehistoric period; it represents a burial or ritual landscape feature common in upland areas of Scotland. Its significance lies in contributing to the understanding of Neolithic and Bronze Age funerary practices and land use.
