The precise location of the Custom House in Englishtown has not been identified. According to O'Flaherty (2010, 27) there was a 'Customhouse, Englishtown, site unknown, probably Merchant's Quay. Repaired in c. 1281 ... sold in 1683 (Orrery papers, 267). Closed, replaced by new premises in c. 1683'.
