Hoolity Ha Bridge carries footsteps across dark water inside Culzean Castle Policies, a private estate where public curiosity must stop at the boundary. Its nineteenth-century stones suggest people once crossed without thinking about ownership, perhaps servants, hunters or children chasing rabbits through reeds. The castle keeps its own time, larger and more stubborn than memory, while the bridge does the simple work of joining one living bank to the other.
