Hogston Burn still runs beside Culzean Castle Policies, marking the exact spot where a bridge once forced water and traffic into one line. The castle owns the memory, yet the burn keeps its own counsel, dragging stones and light through darkness. A bridge may have stood there, but water remembers more than stone and takes back what it wants.
