What is recorded here

Stone Store, Visitor Centre. 29 August 2005. Described by Leask (1950, fig. 22. no. 15, 46, 47) as 'part of a rude cross slab, 2 inches [0.05m] thick. A small Greek cross is incised on one face and, on the other, a similar cross has another at the upper extremity'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 05 December 2012 See linked document with drawing from Harold Leask, Glendalough, Co. Wicklow: national monuments vested in the Commissioners of Public Works. Dublin, 1950. Stationery Office.
Likely dating to the early medieval period, this cross-slab may have served a Christian commemorative or liturgical function. The Greek cross suggests a connection to early Christian symbolism, though its precise meaning or dedication remains unclear.
