Cross-slab in Sevenchurches OR Camaderry

Stone Store, Visitor Centre. 30 August 2005. Slab max L 0.63m, max width 0.32m, 0.05m max thickness) with inscribed cross. Crude perforation (diam. 0.05m) through slab at underside junction of dexter arm; probably secondary. Two other smaller perforations at the top. Date of upload: 04 October 2012

Likely dating to the early medieval period, the cross-slab may have served a Christian commemorative or waymarking function. The perforation suggests possible use as a hanging slab or for attaching fabric or metal objects, though specific folklore or use is not recorded.
