Cross-slab in Clonmacnoise

Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00226 Dimensions: A 0.50 x 0.36 x 0.025cm B 0.26 x 0.33 x 0.025cm An elaborate double outline cross with hollow angles the centre of which is lozenge shaped. The frame is very ornate consisting of two lines of cord work enclosing fret patterning and cord work also continues around the cross. No inscription. Evidence of discovery: OPW 1954-58 Condition: Two fragments. Half design on one, frame on other. National Monuments Service, Photo number: 81-373, 428, 853.
