Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00262 Dimensions: Unknown. Double outline cross with circular centre. Inscription: 'OR DO UO M….LLINICANER ADINLECSA' runs down the left side of the cross. Evidence of discovery: Drawn by Petrie at Clonmacnoise in 1822. Condition: Lost after 1822. Stokes, M. (1878) Christian Inscriptions in the Irish language, Vol 1, p LXIX, no. 165. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. Date likely to the 9th–10th century AD, based on the style of the high crosses common in early Christian Ireland. The inscription appears to be a personal dedication, possibly in Old Irish, suggesting a Christian funerary or commemorative function.
