Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00214
Dimensions: H 0.22, W 0.195, T 0.016
A double outline ring cross with hollow angles enclosed by a two line frame, the inner line of which is made up by the outer line of the cross. There is a central lozenge with roundels in the voids. Carving marks can still be seen quite clearly.
No inscription.
Evidence of discovery: OPW 1954-58
Condition: Fragment. Part of centre, 2 cross arms and frame.

A 9th- to 10th-century Christian cross-slab, likely associated with the monastic settlement of Clonmacnoise; its ringed cross design reflects early Irish monastic art and may have served as a grave marker or commemorative monument.
