Cross-slab in Clonmacnoise

Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00023 Dimensions: H 0.425, W 0.72, T 0.035 A linear cross with wedge shaped termainls dominated by the inscription. Inscription: Two line inscription 'OR [D]O C[?]OR[A]MAC AMEN'. Evidence of discovery: First drawn in 1869 by J. Graves and W.M. Hennessy. Graves recorded it in 1855. Probably dates to the early medieval period (7th–10th century). The inscription may be a Christian dedication or personal name, typical of memorial stones in monastic sites like Clonmacnoise.
