Mosaic of two lives, one vessel, two rhythms. Heris sonthia, Eochu rhythm, an unnamed woman, and a child yet unborn. Two lives in one vessel, two rhythms in one body. The chamber holds both, not one or the other.

Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00197 Dimensions: H 1ft 11.5ins, W 1ft 4ins, T 2.21ins Hollow angled ring cross which terminates in spirals. Macalister suggests that it was done by the same hand as CLN00196. No inscription. Evidence of discovery: Macalister 1898-1905. Condition: Now lost.. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file. 9th- to 10th-century AD; the hollow angled ring cross with spiral terminals is typical of High Cross art and may have had a Christian liturgical or commemorative function.
