Double outline cross with median line. The slightly larger than semicircular terminal has looped ends and a simple fret pattern.
Inscription: The inscription reads 'ART'
Evidence of discovery: Macalister 1949.
Condition: In four pieces; Macalister saw it in five pieces.

9th- to 10th-century AD; the cross-slab likely served as a grave marker or commemorative monument, reflecting the Christian tradition of the monastic site of Clonmacnoise. Its decorative elements, including the looped ends and fret pattern, are typical of High Cross art in early medieval Ireland.
