Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00469
Dimensions: H 0.37, W 0.315, T 0.04
A very crude Altar slab. A double outline cross with incised centre and slightly triangular ends. There are four crude initial crosses in the quadrants and the main cross is lopsided.
No inscription.
Evidence of discovery: OPW 1954-58.
Condition: Complete.

Date likely to the early medieval period (7th–10th century). The cross-slab may have been used as a funerary or liturgical object, reflecting Christian symbolism associated with the monastic site of Clonmacnoise.
