What is recorded here

No cross appears on the worn stone, only the name Ferchomus carved across two lines with a mistaken R. The chamber may have held an ordinary person, a teacher, a trader or a failed servant, but the chisel still points to someone worth naming. Clonmacnoise preserved that much of him.
