Cross-slab CLN00534 at Clonmacnoise is a small fragment, sixteen centimetres tall and fifteen wide, bearing only a single-line frame or cross with no inscription. It is the kind of marker that may have stood beside a name now lost, pointing to one life among hundreds buried beneath the monastery fields.
