Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00530 Dimensions: H 0.12, W 0.13, T 0.065 A fragment with two lines. No inscription. Evidence of discovery: Davis 1984. A fragment of a cross-slab, likely medieval in date, from the vicinity of the important monastic site of Clonmacnoise, which was a significant religious and artistic centre in early Christian Ireland. The absence of inscription and its worn condition suggest it may have been part of a larger funerary or liturgical monument, common in the region during the 8th to 12th centuries.
