Cross-slab in Clonmacnoise preserves a broken outline cross, a median line, a single line frame and the name fragment UTHACH. It is small enough to lift, yet it carries a whole life into stone. Clonmacnoise gave birth, death, prayer and memory; this fragment returns some of that motion unchanged.
