An Riasc is a small early Christian site on the Dingle Peninsula where a carved cross-slab once stood before men carried it into a university corridor. The grey sandstone block carries two different crosses, one with scrolled ends and tiny angular marks, the other broader and plainer, as if making the same claim in two voices. It is no longer beside the burial ground overlooking Smerwick Harbour, yet the cuts still hold the shape of the faith that marked the place.

National Monument No. 519. Calluragh burial ground/An Cheallnúach: KE042-060001- is located about 1.25km E of the village of Ballyferriter on approximately the highest point in the townland with a good view to the N over Smerwick Harbour. (8) Cross-inscribed pillars and slabs: Stone F (KE042-060020-) was found near the site in the 19th century and removed to UCC. It is of local grey sandstone, roughly shaped with a rounded top. On one face there is a Latin cross with scrolled terminals to head and arms. Two crosslets are placed one on either side of the head with small circles and a saltire design in the upper and lower angles respectively. The opposite face of the cross carries a single Latin cross with expanded terminals. L: .87m. W: .47m. T: .1m. This stone is currently part of the collection of ogham stones and carved stones on display in the stone corridor in UCC. It was found in a river opposite the early Christian site at Reask and moved to UCC sometime before 1912. Probably dates to the early Christian period, given its form as a cross-slab. It may have marked a burial or served as a memorial within the wider Calluragh burial ground.
