On a collapsed wall beside St Brigid’s church in Inis Cealtra, this small sandstone marker waited for discovery. It bears a finely incised Chi-Rho cross, the kind of sign that turned Christian burial into visible prayer. Now it stands in Clare Museum, Ennis, still carrying the quiet confidence of the hand that cut it.
