Cross-inscribed stone in Ceathrú An Chaisleáin

A stone which acted as a door lintel to a cabin in this townland and later as a gap-post was inscribed with a plain cross. It was removed to the National School in Ballyferriter but is now missing (information: D. Ó Conchúir). It was reputed to have originally come from Teampall Bán (KE042-052----) in Caherquin townland (O' Sullivan 1931, 523). The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
