What is recorded here

St. Kevins Cross stood in Cross Street, County Dublin, during the medieval period. The Friends of Medieval Dublin Map placed it near that road, yet no stone or marker remains above ground today. The cross disappeared beneath later building, but its name still shapes the street and preserves a forgotten devotion.
The Friends of Medieval Dublin Map (1978) shows the approximate position of St. Kevins Cross in Cross Street. (FMD map (1978) 07; Bradley & King 1987, 2, 151). There are no visible surface remains (Clarke 2002, 20). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 23 November 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
